My problem was: How could I redirect my favorite karaoke players sound to a software synthesizer?

I used software synthesizer in earlier Windows versions. Right now my notebook with the Windows-7 Ultimate is good only to do Excel 2003 for me. I had to purchase 2 licenses of Norton to protect 1 notebook.Īnyone please let me know when god is kind enough to shine the lights on this messy operation. During last hours, I had to dig for XP original disk to add languages. Ultimate upgrade is garbage and 200% wasteful. The MS RDP driver is very STUPID and does not have anything to support with the main sound driver in Windows-7 or XP-Mode (that used to have Midi Sound Output).

Ihave not seen one that knows exactly what the _ is going on. I want to say 50% rather.Īnd then the MS EXPERTS in this Answer web. What MS claims that 100% compatible IS NOT TRUE. I bought 2 sets of upgrade my Windows-7 to Ultimate, hoping that I can use XP programs to do music. I would not say "Intentionally" but how can the most hi-tech group of people can oversee such big and crucial application. Your explanation is VERY CLEAR, especially the part that very simple functions are LEFT off. So good, why can't it *sound* good too?!?! Microsoft, It's time you wake up and listen to the music! Bring back full MIDI support and mapping as it is essential to *business*!!! You have provided us with the new WASAPI, but is that really for Pro-audio? ARG! You make Windows look Microsoft has pretty much destroyed it's reputation with musicians and audio engineers and it's quite obvious they don't really It is outrageous to declare an essential part of business as legacy and remove it when so many people still rely on it. So has MIDI in general been declared as *legacy*? As soon as I read that I knew a lot of people would go through the stages of confusion, denial and then anger after realizing Microsoft's mistake. It said that legacy devices and drivers such as MPU-401 would not be supported I remember reading an article maybe a few years ago that said MIDI support was being removed from future versions of windows. I fully agree that this is not a solution.
